An estate on the edge of the Maasai Mara, formerly an intensive farm, now restored back to its natural state, with a limited number of stunning 5 acre safari home properties for sale.

The Plots

Each plot of 5 acres is situated to take advantage of the amazing vistas, the open plains, the Kileleoni hill, or the majestic Mara River.

The Naretoi estate, set on the banks of the Mara River, used to be an intensive farm (previously called Olerai Mara Farm, owned by the Wood family from 2000-2013) under pivot irrigation.  The founders of Naretoi bought the farm in 2013 and have returned the farm back into its natural state, restoring habitats and enhancing biodiversity.  The Naretoi project is essential for the sustainability of the Enonkishu Conservancy, and will secure the wildlife grazing land in the surrounding 10,000 acres, as well as working with the community to broaden livelihood opportunities.

Naretoi presents an opportunity to own a piece of the legendary Maasai Mara and build your dream home in a safe, managed and beautiful part of the Northern Mara ecosystem.

The Naretoi model offers for sale 36 5 acre house sites or ‘footprints’ on the 1000 acres to buyers, who will then build their dream home whilst adhering to pre-determined design & material guidelines.  Naretoi homeowners have worked with some of Kenya's finest architects and contractors and created fabulous bush-homes that are ‘safari chic’ and adhere to our design parameters. The project began in 2014 and sold 22 plots within the first 24 months.  Potential buyers are welcome to visit the site to purchase one of the remaining plots, accommodation is available at House in the Wild, a boutique family lodge on the edge of the Naretoi estate.
